The WestEd website offers content-rich resources relevant to hot topics in education, ranging from accountability and assessment, community development, and curriculum and instruction to equity, leadership development, teacher professional development, and literacy, math, and science.

WestEd, a nonprofit research, development, and service agency, works with education and other communities to promote excellence, achieve equity, and improve learning for children, youth, and adults. The agency traces its history back to 1966 when Congress created a network of Regional Educational Laboratories. In 1995, two of those original laboratories — Far West Laboratory for Educational Research and Development and Southwest Regional Laboratory — joined forces to form WestEd. While WestEd serves the states of Arizona, California, Nevada, and Utah as one of the nation's Regional Educational Laboratories, the agency's work extends throughout the United States and abroad. It has 15 offices nationwide, from Washington and Boston to Arizona, Southern California, and its headquarters in San Francisco.
