Helpful Hints for Navigation

Because of the immense size of the ERIC database, navigation within the site can be overwhelming. Information is divided among the twelve clearinghouses and each clearinghouse can be searched individually. However, many topics are included in more than one clearinghouse. Visit the main ERIC site map--http://eric.ed.gov/sitemap/sitemap.html--before exploring individual clearinghouses to determine the best areas to search. A general search, covering all twelve clearinghouses is available, however this function has a limited filtering mechanism and thus it is difficult to find relevant resources using this method.
